This month in BuckeyeLine, I write about how adding video to your web site is becoming cheaper and easier by the day. $150 cameras, do-it-yourself editing and unfussy video quality expectations make utilizing video online very cost effective.

Is anyone in the industry using online video? If so, are you loading your video content just to your site or adding it to YouTube as well?

Online video is rapidly becoming the experience that more and more internet users are looking for. At Amish Country TV, we are using video online at our website www.amishcountry.tv . Here you will find informative videos on some of the best places to visit and the happenings, in Ohio's Amish Country. We use our own embeddable video player that offers "click-thru" links to the various attractions of the area. The website mirrors our in-room program available at the finest inns and bed & breakfasts throughout Ohio's Amish Country.

We also post our Festival & Event segments on YouTube to promote the Festivals of the area.

Here are some tips on creating successful video content:

Keep it short and to the point, if your video is over 3 minutes long, its probably too long.

Make it look as good as possible. Use a tripod, and have adequate lighting. This is your business you are presenting to the world.

Happy customers make great testimonial videos.
