Firefly Hollow is currently home to a daylily garden featuring over 700 varieties of daylilies. We are participants in the Daylilies of Washington County Tour and are open to the public during the month of July. Visitors have long commented on the beauty of our property so we are proud to now offer tours on Segway Personal Transporters of our 95 acre slice of paradise.

As our lives become increasingly more hectic and wrapped up in electronic devices we are losing touch with the other world that is just outside our door. Mother nature provides a feast for our senses if we only take the time to enjoy it. We have found a way to help people get in touch with nature, even if they have some physical restrictions. Our private tours along our 3 miles of wooded trails on Segway® Transporters is the answer. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Segways they are self balancing two wheeled devices that are battery powered. If you can stand on your own you should be able to operate a Segway. The rider uses their weight to control speed forward and backwards and for stopping. Handlebars lean left or right for steering. Segways® are so quiet that they allow us move among the birds with minimal disturbance. No noisy motors to drown out the sounds of nature. Each tour includes 1/2 hour of training and 1.5 hours of time on the trails. For beginning birders we give tips for better birding and teach them how to get the best out of binoculars.

We are conveniently located 1.1 miles off of US Route 50 about 25 miles southwest of Marietta,OH; 35 miles southeast of Athens,OH and 15 miles west of Parkersburg,WV. You can make reservations by calling 740-989-2405 or by e-mailing us at fireflyhollow@windstream.net. More information is available at www.fhsigns.com.

Come experience nature firsthand with a comfortable ride on a Segway.
